EMDR Consultation

EMDRIA Approved

At the Mind/Body Institute, we are dedicated to helping clinicians enhance their skills and expertise in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Our EMDR consultation services are designed for EMDR-trained clinicians who have completed Part I and Part II training and are seeking professional guidance and feedback from an EMDRIA-approved consultant or consultant-in-training by obtaining their required hours for basic training or full EMDRIA certification.

What is EMDR Consultation?

EMDR consultation refers to a collaborative process where a clinician receives support and feedback to improve their delivery of EMDR therapy. The primary goal is to enhance the clinician’s skillset, ensure adherence to the standardized EMDR protocols, and navigate any challenges that may arise during treatment. This process is essential for those looking to deepen their therapeutic practice or seeking EMDR certification.

Key Aspects of EMDR Consultation

  • Skill Development
Our consultants work closely with clinicians to deepen their understanding of EMDR therapy. Whether you’re dealing with complex trauma cases or simply seeking to refine your approach, we guide you in applying EMDR principles effectively and confidently.

  • Ethical and Effective Practice
We provide support to ensure your use of EMDR therapy remains ethical and effective. Our consultants tailor feedback to your unique clinical cases, helping you apply best practices while staying true to EMDR protocols.

  • Certification and Maintenance
For those pursuing EMDRIA certification or maintaining their credentials, consultation is a vital part of the process. EMDRIA requires clinicians to complete a certain number of consultation hours to become certified. At the Mind/Body Institute, we offer the required consultation hours, ensuring you meet certification or re-certification requirements with confidence.
